DATASET SNAPSHOT

Where official documentation is complete—and where it is not

Published maximum kibble range: 12–19.05 mm across the 14 models that state a maximum.

What the published specifications show

15feeder models
6brands
10fully verified entries
5conditional entries with an unpublished limit

Published maximum kibble limits among the 14 models that state one range from 12 mm to 19.05 mm, with a median of 15 mm. Nine models use Wi-Fi and six do not. Every model in this edition documents a battery or backup-power route, but backup power does not always preserve app access or cloud reporting.

The clearest disclosure gap: five of the 15 model entries do not publish a complete minimum-to-maximum kibble range in the official material we reviewed. MeowBay keeps these as conditional entries instead of inventing missing measurements or presenting them as exact matches.

Methodology

  1. We identify the exact model or model code, because limits can change within one brand.
  2. We record the manufacturer product page, support page or manual as the primary source.
  3. We normalize published inch measurements to millimetres without rounding away meaningful limits.
  4. We separate volume-based portions from weight-based portions. A “portion” is not treated as a fixed number of grams unless the manufacturer publishes that conversion.
  5. We document what happens without Wi-Fi and during a power outage instead of treating those two failures as the same event.
  6. We mark incomplete official specifications as conditional. They are not shown as verified matches in the interactive tool.

What this dataset cannot prove

This is a documented-specification dataset, not a claim that MeowBay physically tested every feeder-food combination. Kibble thickness, shape, surface oil, crumbs and breakage can affect dispensing even when the widest measurement fits the published range. Owners should measure several pieces at their widest point and run repeated supervised dispensing tests before relying on a feeder while away.
